Scott, To Acquire Spiritual Guidance, April 2009

CAPSTONE:
Pornography is evil and is Satan's greatest weapon today. I have witnessed dozens of marriages and lives ruined because of this destructive vice. The number one way to avoid this sinful addiction is to NEVER entertain it for a second. Don't ever be tempted to look at pictures or watch it any form. Like a deadly snake that creeps toward you, if you don't run far away, it will creep up and kill your spirit. Keep the Book of Mormon close by and when temptation arises, quickly turn to your favorite scripture or sing your favorite hymn. By replacing evil with good and wholesome activities, we can thwart Satan's plan and stay on the straight and narrow path back to our Father in Heaven. I believe that Satan is getting desperate in these latter days. He is using all the trickery he can think of to lead us off of the path and into his territory. Allowing him to enter our lives and distract us will only bring sorrow and misery to ourselves and those that we love. We know that wickedness never brings happiness. It is my testimony that we listen to our latter day Prophets as they warn us of Satan's plan. I pray that we will ever be wary of this evil addiction and stay as far away from it as we can. I know that true happiness comes from following our Savior and His beautiful plan.
